What lucid is, and is not
lucid helps you pause and understand your own patterns. It is not medical care, therapy, or treatment for a mental-health or addiction condition, and it is not a crisis service. The Trader module is a discipline and journaling tool; it is not investment, financial, or trading advice, and nothing in lucid is a recommendation to make any trade.
If you are in crisis or think you may harm yourself or someone else, contact your local emergency services or a professional helpline right away. lucid can surface a helpline, but it cannot replace one.
Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of lucid ("lucid", "we", "us"), including the website, the app, and any connected experiences. By creating an account or using lucid, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use lucid.
Who can use lucid
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use lucid on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for them.
Your account
Keep your login details accurate and secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You can export your data or erase your account from within the app at any time.
Plans, trials, and billing
- lucid has a Free tier. Paid features (Core, and the Trader module) are offered on a subscription.
- The Trader module includes a 14-day trial with no card required. Core is a paid subscription.
- Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by our payments provider acting as merchant of record. They are the seller of record for those transactions and handle billing, taxes, and receipts.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- If we change a price, we will give you notice before it applies to you. Refunds are handled according to our payment provider's policy and your statutory rights.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you put into lucid: your assessment answers, notes, pause history, and trade entries. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide and improve the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you enter and for using lucid lawfully.
Acceptable use
When using lucid, you agree not to:
- break the law, or use lucid to harm yourself or others;
- attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours;
- probe, disrupt, or circumvent the security or paywall of the service;
- copy, resell, reverse engineer, or build a competing product from lucid; or
- misuse the service in a way that degrades it for other people.
Our intellectual property
lucid, including its software, the assessment and its scoring, the written content it generates, and the lucid name and marks, belongs to us or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you beyond the right to use lucid as intended.
Third-party services
lucid works alongside services such as Google and Telegram sign-in, our payments provider, and our infrastructure providers. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Disclaimers
lucid is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work hard to make it reliable and useful, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular outcome. Building a habit is your work; lucid is a tool for it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, lucid is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for outcomes of decisions you make while using it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
Ending your use
You can stop using lucid and erase your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or use lucid in a way that risks harm to the service or to others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Changes
We may update the service and these terms. If a change is material, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use lucid after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without affecting the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Portugal, again without removing any right you have to bring a claim locally as a consumer.
